Who We Are
We are a Dartford based counselling and therapy service
Alexandra Kubit-Hope MSc. MBACP
I am a qualified therapist who has been working using the integrated approach to counselling for several years. That means that I do not limit myself or my clients to one fixed way of working, but that I will choose the best way of working with the client depending on their individual circumstances, and what their individual expectations are in regards to what they would like to achieve as a result of therapy.
I believe that each client is unique. Some clients may need a better understanding of why they feel, think, and act in a certain way at present, which may involve looking at their past, and some clients may want to concentrate on their current situation and see how they can handle things differently in the present, in order to have a better quality of life here and now. Some clients may need a bit of both, as understanding what happened in the past can help them to successfully shape their present and future. For that reason, I firmly believe and trust in an integrative model of working.
I work with individual clients in a face-to-face setting and online (please see the Online Counselling section for more details). Before I set up my private practice, I also worked as a counsellor for Mind, and as a bereavement counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Care. I have experience in working with a wide range of issues including bereavement, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, and emotional abuse, amongst many others.
